This Sunday, Youth Pastor Christian Yates will deliver a powerful message from Matthew 8:23–27, where Jesus and His disciples face a violent storm on the Sea of Galilee. As waves crash and panic sets in, the disciples cry out, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

Jesus responds with a question that still challenges us today:

“Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”

Then He rebukes the winds and the sea — and suddenly, there is a great calm.

This passage reminds us that Jesus has authority not only over sickness and demons, but over creation itself. More importantly, it shows us that even when we feel overwhelmed, Jesus is not distant — He’s in the boat with us.

Pastor Christian will help us reflect on the storms we face in life and the faith it takes to trust Jesus through them. No matter how fierce the winds, His voice still speaks peace.
