Sunday Live Service June 1st 2025

Jun 1, 2025    Christian Yates

As we enter into worship, we turn our hearts to Matthew 6:16-18, where Jesus teaches us about the spiritual discipline of fasting. He says:

"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do... But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:16–18, NIV)

Fasting isn’t about show — it’s about seeking. It’s about humbling ourselves before God, quieting the noise of the world, and longing for more of Him. Today, as we worship, may we be reminded that true fasting draws us closer to the Father, not through outward display, but through inward surrender.

Let us open our hearts, lift our voices, and press into God's presence with humility and joy.

Welcome to worship!
